Cassie and Bryan’s Wedding at The American Homestead

Posted in Locations, Weddings on March 7, 2009 by neilbartowphotography

Last October, Cassie and Bryan were married at the American Homestead, near Naches. This was a memorable wedding, both because Cassie and Bryan are a fabulous couple to work with and we enjoy being out at the American Homestead for weddings. The hills and the huge grass field are beautiful and the charming buildings have a lot of space for the family and wedding guests to enjoy.  In this case, the extra indoor space was a plus as the rain in the morning forced the entire ceremony indoors – without a hitch.

This wedding was especially unique due to Cassie’s choice of a gorgeous red dress and the creative use of peacock feathers, hops, and succulant plants in the decor.

Jenny and Christian’s Wedding

Posted in Locations, Weddings on February 8, 2009 by neilbartowphotography

Jenny and Christian married on a cold, icy Saturday a few weeks ago.  After a beautiful ceremony at the Holy Family Catholic Church, friends and family gathered at the Yakima Country Club for the reception.  One can see the subtlely gorgeous dusting of hoar frost that served as a wonderful backdrop for some of the formals. This wedding was particularly special to me as Jenny’s dad is also my eye doctor. Eye doctors are beloved by photographers for obvious reasons and are unceremoniously accorded the distinction of ” Wizard of the First Order”. Christian and Jenny are  a lovely couple, who , along with their families, were a pleasure to work with.  Below are some of the images from their celebration.

Stephanie and Todd’s Wedding

Posted in Weddings on December 27, 2008 by neilbartowphotography

Shortly before Christmas, we had the pleasure of photographing Stephanie and Todd’s wedding.  We followed Stephanie from her parents home to the church where finishing touches were made on getting dressed for the ceremony.  After the ceremony, they traveled to the Convention Center for their reception.

They were married at the Holy Family Catholic Church.  As part of their wedding, they had a sand ceremony, which is the mixing of colored sand to symbolize their union.  It was a beautiful addition to the wedding and they will always have the bottle of combined sand.

Stephanie had hoped for snow at their wedding, and we got our first snow.  During the wedding.  Todd’s groomsmen shoveled the walk for them.

Stan, from Moonlit Ride Limousine, provided the handsome umbrella for the walk to the dry, warm, Lincoln.

The sign behind them, outside the Convention Center reads, “Congratulations Todd & Stephanie”

Kasandra and Erick

Posted in Weddings on August 31, 2008 by neilbartowphotography

Kasandra and Erick were married in her family’s backyard on one of the hottest days of this summer.  It was a labor of love for family and friends to set up and decorate the reception tent and the ceremony area. It all turned out beautifully.  Kassandra and Erick had the biggest smiles for each other all day long, every time they made eye contact.

Here are a few imags from their wedding while I finish editing:

Danielle and Geoff

We’ve been friends with Geoff’s family for many years and have had the pleasure of getting to know Dani and her family since their engagement. This couple is really special to us.  We were thrilled to learn that we would be photographing their wedding. The big day arrived last weekend, and it was a beautiful wedding.

I’ve heard through the grapevine that their family and friends are looking for the pictures already. I can’t blame you all, they make a handsome couple.  So, while I finish editing about one thousand images, here’s a preview of some favorites so far:

JJ and David’s Wedding

Posted in Weddings on July 27, 2008 by neilbartowphotography

JJ and David were married two weeks ago at her parents’ home, in their beautiful yard. This wedding was a creative mixture of family and Jewish traditions with the joy of good friends coming together. And there was a lot of joy.

One of the advantages of having a second photographer available is being able to capture two different perspectives of the same moment, such as the two images of the traditional Breaking of the Glass. Mazaltof!

I appreciated the bridal parties’ willingness to play. It provided a sense of the happiness of this event. I hope you enjoy the photos below:

Thanks JJ and David for having shared your special day. JoAnn and I wish you both continued happiness in Colorado.  – Neil

Madalain and Marvin’s Wedding

Posted in Locations, Weddings on July 13, 2008 by neilbartowphotography

Madalain and Marvin attended college in Eastern Washington, so are familiar with the rolling hills and the sunshine. When Madalain’s sister visited the Silverlake Winery  in Zillah, they decided that was the perfect place to celebrate their marriage. They brought all their family and friends to the Yakima Valley for their wedding. We are very glad they did.

Here are some of the photos from their wedding day:

The wedding party was able to watch as Marvin saw his bride for the first time that day.

Kendall and Trevor’s Wedding

Posted in Weddings on June 27, 2008 by neilbartowphotography

Kendall and Trevor were married last weekend at the Holy Family Catholic Church. They have amazing family and friends who gathered from across the country to share the love of this couple.  Here are a few preview photos while the editing is completed:

This was a special moment, seeing Kendall for the first time in her gown.

The daisy on the floor really adds to this photo.

The small chapel at Holy Family Catholic Church was a beautiful place for the ceremony.

They were kind to each other in feeding cake. Their reception was at the HIlton Garden Inn. We appreciated the fabulous attention of the staff and the beautiful room.

Thanks Kendall and Trevor for a lovely day.   – Neil

Jody and Ryan’s Wedding

Posted in Weddings on June 20, 2008 by neilbartowphotography

One of the joys of photographing weddings is getting to be a part of the action “behind the scenes.” Jody and Ryan were one of the most thoughtful couples towards their family and friends and it was obvious that they treasure those special people in their life.  It was also plain to see the depth of love they have for each other. And they know how to have a good time!

Here are a few images from their wedding. Family and freinds can see the  “behind the scenes” shots on their wedding website.

The ceremony is natural light, no flash.

This wave is priceless.

The music and lights provided by Reflex Pro Sound and Lighting created a lively atmosphere for dancing…

…and some quieter moments on the dance floor as well.

We hope you enjoy the images from your wedding. We had a great time with you guys.  -Neil
