This is going to be good news to many of of you, as it was good news to us: Our professional lab has lowered some of it’s prices and the first thing we want to do is to reciprocate by lowering our prices. For now, we are taking 20% off the price of packages. Packages also now include a full resolution DVD, so you can print and archive your own images. There are also some changes to print prices.

I had the pleasure of attending the Professional Photographers of Washington Seminar at the Arboretum on Monday. Sam Gardner gave a very informative and entertaining presentation of difficult lighting situations and some different posing options. It is easy to get stuck in a rut - and so important to get together with other photographers and swap ideas. Besides, they’re great people to spend a day with.
Here’s some shots from the day. Sadly, I can’t publish the truly revealing images of my fellow photographers – as they will return the favor and publish the embarrassing ones of me. And we wouldn’t want that to happen now, would we?

No, I haven’t forgot about this blog. I’ve been spending a lot of time researching, choosing, and now working on a new and improved website. It will be up soon, we hope. Look for it next week. – Neil
The process of reserving your wedding date, that is, hiring me as your wedding photographer, is fairly simple. Most brides-to-be contact me by phone or email and we set a day and time to get together at my home to review my portfolio and talk about wedding plans. Of course, the groom-to-be, mothers, fathers, sisters, and friends are all welcome as well. We will be spending a special day together and it is important that everyone feel comfortable working with me as well as liking my images.
Once the decision is made, there is a brief agreement to sign, so we are clear about who does what, a checklist of desired shots, and a reservation fee. It is a relaxed conversation, no pressure and hopefully painless.
A bonus of meeting with families at my home, is that Kelsey, our Golden Retriever, gets to meet a lot of new friends.
As well as meeting new people, she also enjoys car rides. The car is one of her favorite places to be.
The park is her favorite place to go. That’s one Happy Dog! – Neil
JoAnn and I had a great time at the Yakima Bridal Show yesterday. We enjoyed meeting so many great people and appreciated all the interest. Here’s a snapshot of what the “Neil Bartow Photography” booth looked like.
