Holiday Cards —– Special Order

We’ve had some requests for Holiday cards to combine with photos. So we’ve found some beautiful templates and worked out the details for “print to order” holiday cards!

They are press printed as 5 x 7 folded or flat,  on a choice of standard, art linen, or pearl card stock. Standard is plain card stock, art linen has a linen texture similar to linen writing paper, and pearl has an almost metallic pearlescent sheen. The back of the card is a continuation of the pattern on the front. Envelopes are included.

The text is customizable, except for “Peace A” and “Season’s Best A” below. You can exchange Merry Christmas for Happy New Year for instance. You can choose your inside text.

Reserving Your Wedding Date

The process of reserving your wedding date, that is, hiring me as your wedding photographer, is fairly simple.  Most brides-to-be contact me by phone or email and we set a day and time to get together at my home to review my portfolio and talk about wedding plans. Of course, the groom-to-be, mothers, fathers, sisters, and friends are all welcome as well. We will be spending a special day together and it is important that everyone feel comfortable working with me as well as liking my images. 

Once the decision is made, there is a brief agreement to sign, so we are clear about who does what, a checklist of desired shots, and a reservation fee. It is a relaxed conversation, no pressure and hopefully painless. 

A bonus of meeting with families at my home, is that Kelsey, our Golden Retriever, gets to meet a lot of new friends. 

                 

As well as meeting new people, she also enjoys car rides.  The car is one of her favorite places to be.

The park is her favorite place to go.  That’s one Happy Dog!  – Neil

Gallary Wrapped Canvas Prints

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. We certainly did. We enjoyed a visit from my in-laws and a very pleasant day.   We also enjoyed many phone calls with family too far away to be together for Christmas.  Thank goodness for telephones and pictures!

Now, as we enter the new year, I’m planning for next year’s weddings and portraits. We recently decided to offer canvas prints as an option for displaying images.  The images are directly printed onto premium-quality canvas and stretched onto a custum made wood frame.  The edges are wrapped around the frame to give it a finished look.  They are UV coated for protection and ready to hang, no further framing (and related expense) is needed.  I can order these any size from 6″ x 6″ to 40″ x 100.” 

We recently ordered some 20″ x 30″ sample canvas prints and are pleased by the color clarity and quality.  They really are beautiful.  I’m not so happy with the brush stroke effects on one print, but if you have the chance to see them, you can decide for yourself since the brush stroke may appeal to someone else.  Overall I’m very happy to be able to offer this option to my clients this year. 

Below is one of the canvas prints displayed on our living room wall.  We are looking through our personal photos to find one for our home too.
