Reserving Your Wedding Date

The process of reserving your wedding date, that is, hiring me as your wedding photographer, is fairly simple.  Most brides-to-be contact me by phone or email and we set a day and time to get together at my home to review my portfolio and talk about wedding plans. Of course, the groom-to-be, mothers, fathers, sisters, and friends are all welcome as well. We will be spending a special day together and it is important that everyone feel comfortable working with me as well as liking my images. 

Once the decision is made, there is a brief agreement to sign, so we are clear about who does what, a checklist of desired shots, and a reservation fee. It is a relaxed conversation, no pressure and hopefully painless. 

A bonus of meeting with families at my home, is that Kelsey, our Golden Retriever, gets to meet a lot of new friends. 

                 

As well as meeting new people, she also enjoys car rides.  The car is one of her favorite places to be.

Yakima Bridal Show 2008

JoAnn and I had a great time at the Yakima Bridal Show yesterday.  We enjoyed meeting so many great people and appreciated all the interest.  Here’s a snapshot of what the “Neil Bartow Photography” booth looked like.

Meet us at the Bridal Show

My wife JoAnn and I are busy getting ready for  next weekend’s 2008 Central Washington Bridal Show.  We are looking forward to meeting with beautiful brides-to-be, their handsome fiances and the important family and friends that help with the all planning.

We are also  looking forward to visiting with fellow photographers as well as other vendors we cross paths with during the year.  At last count, there are 12 photographers scheduled to be there and I’ve lost count of the other vendors. 

The Bridal Show is Sunday, January 27th from 11 to 5 at the Yakima Sundome.  Here is the website:  YakimaBridalShow.com

We will be in the Southwest corner of the Sundome (booth 12), near Stage C.  Lin-Paul’s Bridal and Tuxedo, Kerri’s Cakes and Cynthia’s Custom Decorations will be in the same area.   We’d love to meet as many of you as possible and talk in person about your wedding plans.

Engagement Photos …. Jody and Ryan

          

 Yesterday I shot Jody and Ryan’s engagement photos. Engagement photos are included as part of every wedding package. I enjoy doing them as it gives us a chance to get to know each other and develop a comfortable working relationship before the wedding.  We originally had planned to shoot these last weekend, but it rained. Fortunately, Jody and Ryan were flexible enough to be able to get together yesterday and a bit of sunshine cooperated. Jody and Ryan are a warm, funloving couple who I am looking forward to photographing during their wedding.  I still have a few more to edit before they see them, but here are a few previews:
