Brenton’s Senior Photos

Posted in Senior Portraits on October 25, 2007 by neilbartowphotography

Like I wrote earlier, October is my favorite month. The foliage is drenched in color, creating vivid natural backgrounds for portraits.  When I met with Brenton, he already had his red Jeep parked under this beautiful red maple.  He really stands out against all this red.

The yellow foliage and the weathered wood creates a more subdued feeling.

It was a pleasure to work with Brenton and I wish him a great Senior Year.

Heather and Patrick

October is my favorite month of the year.  The weather is perfect for being outdoors and we enjoy getting out to explore areas such as Chinook Pass.  The month of May also can have pretty nice weather as well.  Heather and Patrick chose a beautiful location for their wedding this past May, at Whistlin’ Jack Lodge.  The setting for the ceremony was perfect, under the pine trees, next to the Naches river.

The beauty of the day matched their joy in each other.  By the end of the day, JoAnn and I felt like part of their family of friends, they were so warm and welcoming.

It was an honor to photograph their wedding day and we wish them the absolute best in the future. – Neil

Nigel Weenink

Sunday afternoon, I had the pleasure of meeting up with Nigel Weenink, his father, Gary, and their dog Max for Nigel’s Senior Portraits.  Nigel is a senior in Sunnyside. We had originally scheduled this session for Friday, but it rained and fortunately, the Weenink’s were able to reschedule.  We had a beautiful sunny day to work with, which is pretty normal weather here in Yakima.

In 2005, I photographed Nigel’s sister’s wedding at the Cozy Rose.  There are several images from their wedding on my website, including the large group with everyone waving, which is a favorite.  It was nice to hear that Jennifer and Nick are doing well.

Here is a preview while I finish editing:

Wendy and Brad at The American Homestead

Posted in Locations, Weddings on October 7, 2007 by neilbartowphotography

wendy-and-brad.jpgwendy-and-brad.jpgwendy-and-brad.jpg       Wendy and Brad were married at the American Homestead September 1, 2007.  They were a fun couple to work with.  There was lots and lots of laughter and you could feel the emotion during the ceremony.  Brad recently bought a new Harley which we managed to include in some of the photos adding to the fun.

Another reason this wedding was special was being out at The American Homestead.  Don and Kathy have done a wonderful job creating a comfortable, relaxed environment for weddings etc.  along the Naches River with sunlit hills in the background.  Wendy and Brad’s wedding was centered around the large barn which housed the reception and is in the background below.

Below are a few more of the images from their wedding:
